Share and Compare

Each of you will be required to choose, based on your individual research, la artista nacional de España. Please see the evaluation page to find out what you should include in your individual paper in order to do well on this part of the project.

In order for us to be able to share our individual papers on line, we will be using a blogging service through Yahoo! Groups. If you've never blogged before, don't worry! It's easy. All you need is an email address. If you do not currently have an email address, you can register for one at hotmail.com.

Each of your groups has been assigned a name. In order to take the first step of posting your papers, you must get to the home page for your group. Here are the addresses:

If you belong to Grupo de Barcelona: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/grupodebarcelona

for Grupo de Madrid: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/grupodemadrid

If you are in Grupo de Sevilla: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/gruposevilla.

if your group is Grupo de Granada: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/grupodegranada

and finally, for Santiago de Compostela: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/grupodesantiago

Once you get to your groups page, follow these steps to join:

1) Click on Sign Up now

2)Fill out the form. Important information: UNcheck the box on Yahoo delievers (next to the words "send me special offers"). DO NOT check any of the interests.

3)After you fill out the registration, it will return you to the "Join this Group" screen. Click to join.

4) In commment to owner box, please include the following information: Your first and last name, your yahoo! profile name and your group name. DO NOT CHANGE message delivery or message format options.

5) Click on Join. You will get a membership pending message. After I accept your membership to our group, you will be able to use your group's page to post your individual paper.

Once you have been approved, follow these steps to post your paper:

1)On your groups home page, you will see a box on the left side of the screen. Under the "messages" heading, click on the word FILES.

2) Use the browse option to find your word document on your computer.

3) DO NOT check any of the boxes under autosend to members.

4) In the description box, please type your first and last name as well as your role for your group. Ex: Sally Jones-Museum Curator

5) You will have to wait for your paper to show up on the homepage until I approve it!

You will follow the same procedure to post your group's final paper to yahoo! as well.

**You may have noticed that I control all aspects of these groups. No one is allowed to join unless I approve, and any messages that are posted must be approved by me as well. This is to make sure you are all on a safe web site and I want to make sure that everything that is posted by our class is appropriate for school use.
